Our winter issue of the Joy to Life Magazine is simply fabulous, and I can’t wait for you to read the great information to begin 2020.
Who doesn’t want to get better organized this year? I think we would all like to de- clutter our closets, our eating habits and even our minds and achieve a healthier, more balanced life.
Did you know there is a ski resort in Alabama? I didn’t until we decided to do a story about Cloudmont Ski Resort in Mentone. Opened in 1970, Cloudmont today has thousands of skiers who visit each year. “On the Move” will tell you all about this unique ski area, and your ski vacation may just stay local!
I am thrilled that County Commissioner Ronda Walker is highlighted in the “Real Life” section of this issue. Ronda is someone that I greatly admire and respect, and I am also happy to call her my friend. Ronda, a breast cancer survivor, shares the incredible story of how her family, friends, her positive spirit and her great faith brought her through a very difficult time in her life.
Every article in this winter issue is extremely special, but none more special to me than the piece introducing our collaboration with my cousin, Elaine Goldstein Gordon. Elaine’s father, David, was my first cousin, and he was very special to me from the time we were very small children. I loved David, and JTL’s partnership with his very talented daughter makes me extremely happy. Elaine, as you will read, is lending her expertise to the Joy to Life Foundation and JTL magazine. We all at the Joy to Life Foundation look forward to a long and delicious partnership with her and her blog, Eating by Elaine (eatingbyelaine.com). YOU WILL LOVE HER HEALTHY RECIPES!
