It was a simple request from an employee at Kinedyne in Prattville, Alabama to organize a dedicated Pink Day in October for breast cancer. Thanks to the leadership team and the enthusiasm of the employees, this simple request sparked something very special that brought together Kinedyne employees from across the United States.
Kinedyne LLC is a world-leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of cargo control products for the transportation industry. The following are the words of Doug Apelt, Vice President of Operations:
“Let me begin by thanking each of you for your participation and contributions during our Joy to Life campaign supporting the local fight against breast cancer. As you recall, this campaign involved all of the great Kinedyne employees throughout the US, not only here in AL, but also our employees in NV, NJ, and even our remote sales team.
You should be proud to be part of a company that supports and gives back to its local community. The heart of a company is its employees and Kinedyne has great employees with great hearts. It is because of your generosity, your compassion, and your support that we are able to make a positive impact in the lives of so many people in our local community.
If you recall, when we kicked off this campaign, our goal was to raise $2K through employee contributions, and if that was achieved, Kinedyne would match dollar for dollar that $2K, for a total of $4K to support Joy to Life and help those in need. I’m pleased to announce that due to your generous hearts, we are able to present a check in the amount of $5,103.”
Thank you Kinedyne! Joy to Life is forever grateful for your incredible support in the fight against breast cancer.
