It is a proven fact that the death rate for breast cancer has fallen since our country has begun informative campaigns on awareness. However, while the mortality rate has fallen in Alabama, it is still higher than the national average. More lives must be saved in Alabama!
As much as the Joy to Life Foundation is dedicated to early detection through breast screenings, we are equally dedicated to providing as much awareness as we can and constantly looking for opportunities to expand our efforts.
Keeping breast cancer at the forefront of everyone’s mind is a large part of our mission.
The goal of our awareness efforts is to bring understanding to everyone, throughout the State of Alabama, about the importance of self-exams, mammograms and other breast screenings. Early detection really does save lives!
PINK LICENSE PLATES
Early detection is saving lives and 100% of the money raised from our pink tags stays in Alabama to pay for mammograms and screening services for those in need in every county of Alabama.
WALK OF LIFE
Our annual WALK OF LIFE event in downtown Montgomery brings thousands together to celebrate life, to remember those that have lost their fight and to stand together to continue the fight.

In several counties in Alabama, our Joy to Life PINK TRASH CANS can be seen throughout the neighborhoods. They are one of the most unique awareness tools we offer our supporters.
